Midway between Banff and Lake Louise, in the heart of Banff National Park, you’ll find a breathtaking location and the perfect getaway resort – Castle Mountain Chalets. This nature lover’s paradise is your year-round home away from home and an ideal location for a secluded stay.

Reminiscent of the late 1800’s when the Gold Rush and the development of the Canadian Pacific Railway brought settlers to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Castle Mountain continues to be a destination spot for the cargo and passenger trains responsible for its initial settlement. Several times a day the sound of heavy steel running across the track can be heard, inspiring images of the excitement the trains passengers must have felt upon reaching their new homeland. Without the train, there would be no Castle Mountain and there likely would be no Banff. Its significance continues to be felt daily as cargo and passenger trains pass by, instilling a piece of Alberta’s history in residents and visitors alike. Castle Mountain is located on the Bow Valley Parkway (Hwy. 1-A) at Castle Junction. Approximately two hours from Calgary International Airport, this location is easily accessible by car.
